- HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES COMMITTEE ON TRANSPORTATION REP. JACK O'MALLEY CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Tuesday, February 8, 2022 10:30 AM Room 521, House Office Building The House Committee on Transportation was called to order by Chair O'Malley. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. O'Malley, Howell, Griffin, Berman, Carra, Roth, Sneller, Clemente, Shannon, Liberati, Puri. Absent: Reps. Eisen, LaFave. Excused: Reps. Eisen, LaFave. Representatives Berman, Clemente and Shannon joined the committee remotely. Representative Carra moved to adopt the meeting minutes from February 1, 2022. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid HB 5334 before the committee: HB 5334 (Rep. Hauck) A bill to amend 1949 PA 300, entitled "Michigan vehicle code," (MCL 257.1 to 257.923) by adding section 811hh. Representative Hauck, joined by Tom Albrecht, representing the P.C.U.P.S. Foundation, both testified in support of HB 5334. Questions and discussion followed. Representative Sneller moved to excuse Representatives Eisen and LaFave from the meeting. There being no objection the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. There being no further business before the committee, Chair O'Malley adjourned the meeting at 10:41 AM.
