The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Kahle, Meerman, Whiteford, Alexander, Allor, Hauck, Filler, Mueller, Beeler, Fink, Roth, Tisdel, Witwer, Clemente, Pohutsky, Stone, Whitsett, Neeley, Morse. Absent: None. Excused: None. Representative Filler moved to adopt the meeting minutes from January 27, 2022. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid HB 5637 before the committee: HB 5637 (Rep. Whiteford) A bill to amend 2014 PA 345, entitled "Right to try act," by amending section 1 (MCL 333.26451). Representative Whiteford moved to report out HB 5637 with recommendation. The motion prevailed 13-6-0: FAVORABLE ROLL CALL Yeas: Reps. At 10:38 AM, the Chair laid the committee at ease. At 10:39 AM, Majority Vice Chair Meerman called the committee back to order. Chair Kahle testified in support of HB 5609.
