STEVEN JOHNSON CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Thursday, February 10, 2022 10:30 AM Room 326, House Office Building The House Committee on Oversight was called to order by Chair Steven Johnson. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Steven Johnson, Outman, Hoitenga, Reilly, Yaroch, O'Malley, Brixie, LaGrand, Young. Absent: None. Excused: None. Representative Outman moved to adopt the meeting minutes from January 27, 2022. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid HB 5659 and HB 5660 before the committee: HB 5659 (Rep. Yaroch) A bill to amend 1978 PA 368, entitled "Public health code," (MCL 333.1101 to 333.25211) by adding section 20158. HB 5660 (Rep. Yaroch) A bill to amend 1979 PA 218, entitled "Adult foster care facility licensing act," by amending section 11 (MCL 400.711), as amended by 2016 PA 525. Representative Yaroch, testified in support of the proposed (H-1) substitutes for HB 5659 and HB 5660. Questions and discussion followed. Representative O'Malley moved to adopt substitute (H-1) to HB 5659. The motion prevailed 9-0-0: FAVORABLE ROLL CALL Yeas: Reps.
