JIM LILLY CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Thursday, February 10, 2022 10:30 AM Room 352, House Appropriations, State Capitol Building The House Committee on Rules and Competitiveness was called to order by Chair Lilly. The Clerk read the following letters making changes to the committee: November 30, 2021 Dear Clerk Randall, This letter is to notify you that I am making the following committee appointments: Representative Joe Bellino to the committee on Rules and Competitiveness. Jason Wentworth, Speaker Michigan House of Representatives. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Lilly, Clements, Bellino, Calley, Wendzel, Damoose, Anthony, Hertel, Sneller, Kuppa. Absent: Rep. Posthumus. Excused: Rep. Posthumus. Representative Clements moved to adopt the meeting minutes from November 9, 2021. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid HB 4640 before the committee: HB 4640 (Rep. Glenn) A bill to amend 1982 PA 250, entitled "Child abuse and neglect prevention act," by amending section 2 (MCL 722.602), as amended by 2018 PA 60. Rep. Glenn testified in support of HB 4640. Rev. Stacy Swimp, representing the Stacy Swimp Evangelistic Association, testified in support of HB 4640. The Chair laid HB 5718 and HB 5719 before the committee: HB 5718 (Rep. Rendon) A bill to amend 1956 PA 218, entitled "The insurance code of 1956," by amending section 3107c (MCL 500.3107c), as added by 2019 PA 22. HB 5719 (Rep.
