The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. O'Malley, Eisen, Howell, Griffin, LaFave, Berman, Carra, Roth, Sneller, Clemente, Shannon, Liberati, Puri. Absent: None. Excused: None. Representatives Berman and Shannon joined the committee remotely. Representative Puri moved to adopt the meeting minutes from February 8, 2022. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid HB 5334 before the committee: HB 5334 (Rep. Hauck) A bill to amend 1949 PA 300, entitled "Michigan vehicle code," (MCL 257.1 to 257.923) by adding section 811hh. Representative Roth moved to report out HB 5334 with recommendation. The motion prevailed 9-1-1: FAVORABLE ROLL CALL Yeas: Reps. O'Malley, Eisen, Howell, Griffin, Roth, Sneller, Clemente, Liberati, Puri. Nays: Rep. Carra. Pass: Rep. LaFave. The Chair laid HB 5472 before the committee: HB 5472 (Rep. O'Neal) A bill to amend 2001 PA 142, entitled "Michigan memorial highway act," (MCL 250.1001 to 250.2092) by adding section 105. Representative O'Neal, joined by Kimberly Napoleon, District 9 Commander of Veterans of Foreign Wars in Michigan, both testified in support of HB 5472. Representative Sneller moved to adopt substitute (H-1) to HB 5472. The motion prevailed 11-0- 0: FAVORABLE ROLL CALL Yeas: Reps. O'Malley, Eisen, Howell, Griffin, LaFave, Carra, Roth, Sneller, Clemente, Liberati, Puri. Nays: None. Pass: None.
