- HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES COMMITTEE ON ENERGY REP. JOE BELLINO CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Wednesday, February 16, 2022 9:00 AM Room 519, House Office Building The House Committee on Energy was called to order by Chair Bellino. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Bellino, Markkanen, Hoitenga, Reilly, Berman, Paquette, Beeler, Martin, Outman, Roth, Manoogian, Sneller, Cherry, Haadsma, Morse, Puri, Scott. Absent: None. Excused: None. Representatives Markkanen, Berman and Puri joined the committee remotely. Representative Sneller moved to adopt the meeting minutes from January 26, 2022. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. Chairman Bellino laid before the committee a presentation on energy storage. Laura Sherman, President, Michigan Energy Innovation Business Council; Mike Alpogianis, Battery Storage Engineer Manager, Invenergy; Nina Peluso, Policy Advisor, Form Energy; and Julian Boggs, Manager, Regulatory Affairs, Key Capture Energy, gave a presentation to the committee. Questions and discussion followed. Jamie O'Brien, representing Advanced Energy Storage, LLC., addressed questions from the committee.
