PAMELA HORNBERGER CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Tuesday, February 22, 2022 9:00 AM Room 521, House Office Building The House Committee on Education was called to order by Chair Hornberger. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Hornberger, Green, Markkanen, O'Malley, Beeler, Damoose, Posthumus, Camilleri, Brenda Carter, Koleszar, Shannon, Stone. Absent: Rep. Paquette. Excused: Rep. Paquette. Representatives Camilleri and Shannon joined the committee remotely. The Chair laid the discussion on the Michigan Department of Education’s Process Regarding Section 11t Payments, before the committee. Kyle Guerrant and Kevin Walters, representing the Michigan Department of Education, testified in regard to the discussion on the Michigan Department of Education’s Process Regarding Section 11t Payments. Questions and discussion followed. Dr. Robert Shaner and Matt McDaniel, representing the Oakland County Superintendents Association, testified in regard to the discussion on the Michigan Department of Education’s Process Regarding Section 11t Payments. Questions and discussion followed. Mary Kay Gallagher, representing Northville Public Schools, testified in regard to the discussion on the Michigan Department of Education’s Process Regarding Section 11t Payments. Questions and discussion followed. Representative Green moved to adopt the meeting minutes from February 15, 2022. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. Representative Green moved to excuse Representative Paquette from the meeting. There being no objection the motion prevailed by unanimous consent.
