- HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES COMMITTEE ON ELECTIONS AND ETHICS REP. ANN BOLLIN CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Tuesday, March 1, 2022 12:00 PM Room 326, House Office Building The House Committee on Elections and Ethics was called to order by Chair Bollin. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Bollin, Wendzel, Calley, Steven Johnson, Filler, Koleszar. Absent: Rep. Whitsett. Excused: Rep. Whitsett. Representative Calley moved to adopt the meeting minutes from February 22, 2022. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid HJRG before the committee: HJRG (Rep. Calley) A joint resolution proposing an amendment to the state constitution of 1963, by amending sections 1 and 2 of article XII, to change the deadlines for proposed amendments to the state constitution. Representative Calley testified in support of HJRG. Mary Clark, representing the Michigan Association of Municipal Clerks, testified in support of HJRG. Lindsay Oswald, representing the Michigan Association of County Clerks, testified in support of HJRG. Representative Koleszar moved to excuse Representative Whitsett from the meeting. There being no objection the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. There being no further business before the committee, Chair Bollin adjourned the meeting at 12:09 PM.
