The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Howell, Markkanen, LaFave, Eisen, Wakeman, Martin, Sowerby, Cambensy, Aiyash. Absent: None. Excused: None. Representative Wakeman moved to adopt the meeting minutes from April 28, 2022. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid HB 5890, HB 5891 and HB 5892 before the committee: HB 5890 (Rep. HB 5891 (Rep. Martin) A bill to amend 1985 PA 227, entitled "Shared credit rating act," by amending section 3 (MCL 141.1053), as amended by 2012 PA 288. HB 5892 (Rep. Cambensy) A bill to amend 1969 PA 306, entitled "Administrative procedures act of 1969," by amending section 7 (MCL 24.207), as amended by 2016 PA 444. Representative Griffin testified in support of HB 5890, HB 5891 and HB 5892. Questions and discussion followed. Travis Boeskool, representing the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes and Energy, testified in support of HB 5890, HB 5891 and HB 5892. Questions and discussion followed. The Chair laid HB 5961 before the committee: HB 5961 (Rep. Damoose) A bill to amend 1994 PA 451, entitled "Natural resources and environmental protection act," by amending sections 80123, 80124, and 80125 (MCL 324.80123, 324.80124, and 324.80125), section 80123 as added by 1995 PA 58, section 80124 as amended by 2012 PA 294, and section 80125 as amended by 2014 PA 549. Tas Blekys, from Representative Damoose's office, and Scott Everett, representing the Michigan Association of Paddlesports Providers, testified in support of HB 5961. Questions and discussion followed. There being no further business before the committee, Chair Howell adjourned the meeting at 11:10 AM.
