The committee clerk read a letter from Speaker Wentworth to Gary Randall, Clerk of the House, removing Representative Hall from the committee and adding Representative Mekoski to the committee. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Hauck, Hoitenga, Bellino, Mueller, Wendzel, Clements, Damoose, Outman, Mekoski, Hertel, Yancey, Garza, Witwer, Steenland, Young. Absent: None. Excused: None. The Chair laid HB 6056 and HB 6057 before the committee: HB 6056 (Rep. VanSingel) A bill to amend 2016 PA 281, entitled "Medical marihuana facilities licensing act," by amending sections 102, 201, 206, 501, 502, 503, 504, and 505 (MCL 333.27102, 333.27201, 333.27206, 333.27501, 333.27502, 333.27503, 333.27504, and 333.27505), section 102 as amended by 2021 PA 57, sections 201, 501, 503, and 504 as amended by 2018 PA 10, section 206 as amended by 2020 PA 207, and sections 502 and 505 as amended by 2018 PA 648, and by adding section 202. HB 6057 (Rep. Manoogian) A bill to amend 2018 IL 1, entitled "Michigan Regulation and Taxation of Marihuana Act," by amending sections 3, 8, and 10 (MCL 333.27953, 333.27958, and 333.27960), sections 3 and 8 as amended by 2021 PA 56. Representative VanSingel and Representative Manoogian testified in support of HB 6056 and HB 6057. Questions and discussion followed. Representative Outman moved to adopt the meeting minutes from May 10, 2022. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent.
