- HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES COMMITTEE ON INSURANCE REP. MIKE HARRIS CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Wednesday, June 25, 2025 Noon. Room 521, House Office Building The House Committee on Insurance was called to order by Chair Harris. The Chair requested attendance to be called: Present: Reps. Harris, Tisdel, Lightner, Aragona, Neyer, Schuette, Brenda Carter, Tate and Fitzgerald. Absent: Reps. Posthumus and Whitsett. Excused: Reps. Posthumus and Whitsett. Representative Neyer moved to adopt the meeting minutes from June 11, 2025. There being no objection, the motion prevailed with unanimous consent. Chair Harris laid a presentation on the Department of Insurance and Financial Services Fraud Unit before the committee. Joe Garcia, Jennifer Kinsey and Jennie Gies, representing the Department of Insurance and Financial Services, gave a presentation on the Department of Insurance and Financial Services-Fraud Unit. Questions and discussion followed. Chair Harris laid a presentation on the Pharmaceutical Care Management Association before the committee. Sean Stephenson, representing the Care Management Association, gave a presentation. Questions and discussion followed. Representative Brenda Carter moved to excuse Representatives Posthumus and Whitsett from the meeting. There being no objection the motion prevailed by unanimous consent.
