The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Hauck, Hoitenga, Bellino, Mueller, Wendzel, Clements, Damoose, Outman, Mekoski, Hertel, Yancey, Garza, Witwer, Steenland, Young. Absent: None. Excused: None. Representative Bellino moved to adopt the meeting minutes from May 17, 2022. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid SB 656 before the committee: SB 656 (Sen. Runestad) A bill to amend 1998 PA 58, entitled "Michigan liquor control code of 1998," (MCL 436.1101 to 436.2303) by adding section 552. Representative Outman moved to adopt substitute (H-2) to SB 656. The motion prevailed 14- 0-0: FAVORABLE ROLL CALL Yeas: Reps. Hauck, Hoitenga, Bellino, Mueller, Wendzel, Clements, Damoose, Outman, Mekoski, Hertel, Yancey, Witwer, Steenland, Young. Nays: None. Pass: None. Representative Mueller moved to report out SB 656 with recommendation, as substitute (H- 2). The motion prevailed 13-1-0: FAVORABLE ROLL CALL Yeas: Reps. Steenland) A bill to amend 1998 PA 58, entitled "Michigan liquor control code of 1998," by amending sections 105 and 603 (MCL 436.1105 and 436.1603), as amended by 2021 PA 19. HB 6107 (Rep. Hoitenga) A bill to amend 1998 PA 58, entitled "Michigan liquor control code of 1998," by amending section 609a (MCL 436.1609a), as amended by 2020 PA 119, and by adding section 609f. Representative Hauck, Representative Steenland and Representative Hoitenga testified in support of HB 6105, HB 6106 and HB 6107. Questions and discussion followed. At 10:55 AM, Rep. Bellino laid the committee at ease. At 10:56 AM, the Chair called the committee back to order.
