- HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES COMMITTEE ON COMMERCE AND TOURISM REP. PAULINE WENDZEL CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Tuesday, June 7, 2022 9:30 AM Room 327, House Office Building The House Committee on Commerce and Tourism was called to order by Chair Wendzel. The Chair asked the Clerk to read the following letter: Dear Clerk Randall, This letter is to notify you that I am making the following committee changes: Remove Representative Manoogian from the Committee on Commerce and Tourism. Appoint Representative Glanville to the Committee on Commerce and Tourism. Sincerely, Jason Wentworth Speaker of the House The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Wendzel, Roth, Alexander, Farrington, Wakeman, Martin, Cambensy, Cherry, Liberati, Glanville. Absent: Rep. Whitsett. Excused: Rep. Whitsett. Representative Roth moved to adopt the meeting minutes from April 12, 2022. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid SB 926 before the committee: SB 926 (Sen. Schmidt) A bill to amend 1993 PA 23, entitled "Michigan limited liability company act," by amending section 102 (MCL 450.4102), as amended by 2015 PA 157. Senator Schmidt and Erix Hanna, representing the Michigan Community Capital, testified in support of SB 926. Questions and discussion followed. Mack Jones, representing the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, testified in support of SB 926. Questions and discussion followed. At 9:39 AM, the Chair laid the committee at ease. At 9:40 AM, the Chair called the committee back to order. Representative Cambensy moved to report out SB 926 with recommendation. The motion prevailed 10-0-0: FAVORABLE ROLL CALL Yeas: Reps. Wendzel, Roth, Alexander, Farrington, Wakeman, Martin, Cambensy, Cherry, Liberati, Glanville. Nays: None. Pass: None. Representative Alexander moved to excuse Representative Whitsett from the meeting. There being no objection the motion prevailed by unanimous consent.
