DAIRE RENDON CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Thursday, June 9, 2022 9:00 AM Room 519, House Office Building The House Committee on Insurance was called to order by Chair Rendon. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Rendon, Kahle, Hall, Meerman, Bezotte, Clements, Posthumus, Tisdel, Harris, Brenda Carter, Bolden, Coleman, Stone, Breen, Steenland, Glanville. Absent: Rep. LaFave. Excused: None. Representatives Kahle, Hall, Meerman, Clements, Posthumus, Tisdel, Harris and Steenland joined the committee remotely. The Chair laid HB 5999 before the committee: HB 5999 (Rep. Coleman) A bill to amend 1956 PA 218, entitled "The insurance code of 1956," (MCL 500.100 to 500.8302) by adding section 272. Representative Coleman testified in support of HB 5999. Questions and discussion followed. Sally Kohlar and Rachel Kohlar testified in support of HB 5999. Questions and discussion followed. Theresa Ruedisueli, representing Arcadia Homecare, testified in support of HB 5999. Questions and discussion followed. Deanna Cronk, representing Best Care Nursing Services, testified in support of HB 5999. Questions and discussion followed.
