ROGER HAUCK CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Tuesday, June 14, 2022 10:30 AM Room 519, House Office Building The House Committee on Regulatory Reform was called to order by Chair Hauck. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Hauck, Hoitenga, Bellino, Mueller, Wendzel, Clements, Damoose, Outman, Hertel, Yancey, Garza, Witwer, Steenland, Young. Absent: Rep. Mekoski. Excused: Rep. Mekoski. Representative Mueller moved to adopt the meeting minutes from June 7, 2022. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid HB 6061 before the committee: HB 6061 (Rep. Coleman) A bill to amend 2018 IL 1, entitled "Michigan Regulation and Taxation of Marihuana Act," by amending the title and sections 4, 5, 10, and 11 (MCL 333.27954, 333.27955, 333.27960, and 333.27961). Representative Coleman testified in support of HB 6061. Questions and discussion followed. Robin Schneider, representing the Michigan Cannabis Industry Association, testified in support of HB 6061. HB 6060 (Rep. Rabhi) A bill to amend 2018 IL 1, entitled "Michigan Regulation and Taxation of Marihuana Act," by amending section 14 (MCL 333.27964). Substitute (H-1) was previously adopted to HB 5706 on February 15, 2022. Representative Damoose moved to adopt substitute (H-4) to HB 5706. The motion prevailed 14-0-0: FAVORABLE ROLL CALL Yeas: Reps. Hauck, Hoitenga, Bellino, Mueller, Wendzel, Clements, Damoose, Outman, Hertel, Yancey, Garza, Witwer, Steenland, Young. Nays: None. The following person submitted a card in support of HB 5839, but did not wish to speak: Robin Schneider, representing the Michigan Cannabis Industry Association. Representative Hoitenga moved to excuse Representative Mekoski from the meeting. There being no objection the motion prevailed by unanimous consent.
