- HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES COMMITTEE ON NATURAL RESOURCES AND OUTDOOR RECREATION REP. GARY HOWELL CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Tuesday, June 21, 2022 2:30 PM Room 307, House Office Building The House Committee on Natural Resources and Outdoor Recreation was called to order by Chair Howell. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Howell, Eisen, Wakeman, Martin, Sowerby, Cambensy, Aiyash. Absent: Reps. Markkanen, LaFave. Excused: Reps. Markkanen, LaFave. Representative Aiyash moved to adopt the meeting minutes from June 9, 2022. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid SB 991 before the committee: SB 991 (Sen. Outman) A bill to amend 1994 PA 451, entitled "Natural resources and environmental protection act," (MCL 324.101 to 324.90106) by adding section 21102a. Jacob Savter, representing the Michigan Ground Water Association, submitted a card in support of SB 991, but did not wish to speak. Representative Eisen moved to report out SB 991 with recommendation. The motion prevailed 7-0-0: FAVORABLE ROLL CALL Yeas: Reps. Howell, Eisen, Wakeman, Martin, Sowerby, Cambensy, Aiyash. Nays: None. Pass: None. Representative Wakeman moved to excuse Representatives Markkanen and LaFave from the meeting. There being no objection the motion prevailed by unanimous consent.
