- HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES COMMITTEE ON ELECTIONS AND ETHICS REP. ANN BOLLIN CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Wednesday, September 28, 2022 8:00 AM Room 326, House Office Building The House Committee on Elections and Ethics was called to order by Chair Bollin. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Bollin, Wendzel, Calley, Steven Johnson, Koleszar. Absent: Reps. Filler, Whitsett. Excused: Reps. Filler, Whitsett. Representative Wendzel moved to adopt the meeting minutes from June 14, 2022. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. Representative Koleszar moved to excuse Representatives Filler and Whitsett from the meeting. There being no objection the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid before the committee an informational hearing on Michigan's voter rolls and methods to improve them. Don Palmer, representing the U.S. Election Assistance Commissioner, and former Virginia Chief Election Administrator, gave a presentation on Michigan’s voter rolls and methods to improve them. Questions and discussion followed. Trey Grayson representing, the former Republican Secretary of State of Kentucky, and elections advocate, gave a presentation on Michigan’s voter rolls and methods to improve them. Questions and discussion followed. J. Christian Adams, representing the former Department of Justice Attorney, and president of the Public Interest Legal Foundation, gave a presentation on Michigan’s voter rolls and methods to improve them. Questions and discussion followed. There being no further business before the committee, Chair Bollin adjourned the meeting at 8:55 AM.
