Gast Appropriations Room 3rd Floor, Capitol Building 100 S. Capitol Avenue Lansing, MI 48933 The House Oversight Committee was meeting jointly with the Senate Oversight Committee. The House Committee on Oversight was called to order by the Chair Steven Johnson. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Steven Johnson, Outman, Hoitenga, Reilly, Yaroch, O'Malley, Brixie, LaGrand, Young. Absent: None. Excused: None. Representative Outman moved to adopt the meeting minutes from December 9, 2021. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. At 10:30 AM, the Chair laid the committee at ease. At 10:31 AM, the Chair called the committee back to order. The Chair laid HB 5528, HB 5549, HB 5550, HB 5551, HB 5552, HB 5553 and HB 5554 before the committee: HB 5528 (Rep. The Chair laid the results of an investigation conducted by Deloitte and Touche LLP into imposter fraud and intentional misrepresentation payments made by the Unemployment Insurance Agency before the committee. Julia Dale, representing the Michigan Unemployment Insurance Agency, and Todd Cook, representing the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity, testified in regard to the results of an investigation conducted by Deloitte and Touche LLP into imposter fraud and intentional misrepresentation payments made by the Unemployment Insurance Agency. Questions and discussion followed. There being no further business before the committee, Rep. Steven Johnson adjourned the meeting at 12:52 PM.
