- HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES COMMITTEE ON EDUCATION REP. PAMELA HORNBERGER CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Tuesday, February 05, 2019 09:00 AM Room 521, House Office Building, Lansing, MI The House Standing Committee on Education was called to order by Chairman Hornberger. The Clerk read a letter from House Speaker Lee Chatfield which appointed members of the House Education Committee. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Hornberger, Paquette, Crawford, Vaupel, Reilly, Hall, Markkanen, O'Malley, Wakeman, Camilleri, Sowerby, B. Carter, T. Carter, Koleszar, Stone. Absent/Excused: None. The Chair stated that the committee will follow the committee rules as stated in the House Rules. Representative Crawford spoke regarding innovative school districts, written testimony was provided. Majority Vice-Chair Paquette and Minority Vice-Chair Camilleri introduced themselves to the committee. Representative Paquette moved to adopt Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. in room 521 of the House Office Building as the day, time, and location for regularly scheduled meetings of the Education Committee. The motion prevailed 14-0-0: FAVORABLE ROLL CALL Yeas: Reps. Hornberger, Paquette, Crawford, Vaupel, Reilly, Markkanen, O'Malley, Wakeman, Camilleri, Sowerby, B. Carter, T. Carter, Koleszar, Stone. Nays: None. Pass: None. There being no further business before the committee, the Chair adjourned the meeting at 09:13 AM.
