- HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES COMMITTEE ON JUDICIARY REP. GRAHAM FILLER CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Tuesday, February 05, 2019 09:00 AM Room 519, House Office Building, Lansing, MI The House Standing Committee on Judiciary was called to order by Chairman Filler. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Filler, LaFave, Farrington, Howell, S. Johnson, Rendon, Berman, Wozniak, LaGrand, Guerra, Elder, Yancey, Bolden. Absent/Excused: None. Representative S. Johnson moved to adopt the meeting minutes from January 29, 2019. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. Chairman Filler laid before the committee a presentation by the Michigan Department of Corrections. Kyle Kaminski, representing the Michigan Department of Corrections, gave a presentation to the committee. Questions and discussion followed. Chairman Filler laid before the committee a presentation by the Michigan Sheriffs' Association. Sheriff Rick Fuller from Kalamazoo County and Sheriff Matt Saxton from Calhoun County, both representing the Michigan Sheriffs' Association, gave a presentation to the committee.
