- HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES COMMITTEE ON COMMUNICATIONS AND TECHNOLOGY REP. MICHELE HOITENGA CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Wednesday, February 06, 2019 12:00 PM Room 327, House Office Building The House Standing Committee on Communications and Technology was called to order by Chairman Hoitenga. The Clerk read a letter from House Speaker Lee Chatfield which appointed members of the House Communications and Technology Committee The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Hoitenga, Johnson, Wozniak, Coleman, Chirkun. Absent/Excused: None. Chair Hoitenga gave an introduction to the committee Committee members gave introductions Representative Johnson moved to adopt Wednesday at 12:00 p.m. in room 327 House Office Building as the normal day, time, and location for meetings of the House Communications and Technology Committee. The motion prevailed 5-0-0 The motion prevailed 5-0-0: FAVORABLE ROLL CALL Yeas: Reps. Hoitenga, Johnson, Wozniak, Coleman, Chirkun. Nays: None. Pass: None. Chair Hoitenga stated that the committee would follow the committee rules, as prescribed in Chapter IV of the House Rules The Chair invited Sally Talberg & Robin Ancona, representing the Michigan Public Service Commission, to give a presentation. Questions and discussion followed The Chair invited Eric Frederick, representing Connect Michigan, to give a presentation. Questions and discussion followed The Chair invited David Lewis and Gavin Goetz, representing AT and T, to give a presentation. Questions and discussion followed There being no further business before the committee, the Chair adjourned the meeting at 01:00 PM.
