- HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES COMMITTEE ON HEALTH POLICY REP. HANK VAUPEL CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Thursday, February 07, 2019 10:30 AM Room 519, House Office Building The House Standing Committee on Health Policy was called to order by Chairman Vaupel. The Clerk read a letter from House Speaker Lee Chatfield which appointed members of the House Health Policy Committee. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Vaupel, Frederick, Alexander, Calley, Hornberger, Lower, Whiteford, Afendoulis, Filler, Mueller, Wozniak, Liberati, Garrett, Clemente, Ellison, Koleszar, Pohutsky, Stone, Witwer. Absent/Excused: None. Representative Frederick moved to adopt Thursday, at 10:30 a.m., in room 519 of the House Office Building as the day, time, and location for regularly scheduled meetings of the House Regulatory Reform Committee. The motion prevailed 16-0-0. The motion prevailed 19-0-0: FAVORABLE ROLL CALL Yeas: Reps. Vaupel, Frederick, Alexander, Calley, Hornberger, Lower, Whiteford, Afendoulis, Filler, Mueller, Wozniak, Liberati, Garrett, Clemente, Ellison, Koleszar, Pohutsky, Stone, Witwer. Nays: None. Pass: None. The Chair stated the committee will follow the committee rules as stated in the House Rules. The Chair welcomed members to the committee, and invited members to introduce themselves. The Chair invited Dominic Pallone, from the Michigan Association of Health Plans, to give a presentations on insurance policies. The Chair invited Mark Cook, from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, to give a presentation on insurance policies. Questions and discussion followed. Dominic Pallone, representing the Michigan Association of Health Plans, was called to answer questions previously asked by members. Questions and discussion followed.
