HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES COMMITTEE ON FAMILIES, CHILDREN, AND SENIORS REP. KATHY CRAWFORD CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Wednesday, February 20, 2019 09:00 PM Room 308, House Office Building The House Standing Committee on Families, Children, and Seniors was called to order by Chairwoman Crawford. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Crawford, Rendon, Hoitenga, Meerman, Wozniak, Garrett, Liberati, Brenda Carter, Cynthia Johnson. Absent/Excused: None. Representative Rendon moved to adopt the meeting minutes from February 13, 2019. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid before the committee presentation by Aging and Adult Services Agency. Richard Kline, Senior Deputy Director of Aging and Adult Services Agency, introduced Scott Wamsley, Deputy Director of Aging and Adult Services Agency, who gave a PowerPoint overview on the agencies. Questions followed. Copies of the PowerPoint and handout are attached. The Chair laid before the committee a presentation by the Area Agencies on Aging. Laura Sutter, Director of St. Joseph Branch of Area Agencies on Aging, Lacey Charbonneau, Advocacy Coordinator of the Western Michigan, and Katie Wendel, Senior Manager of Advocacy of Area Agencies on Aging 1-B, gave a group PowerPoint overview of their program. Copies of the PowerPoint and handout are attached. There being no further business before the committee, Representative Liberati moved to adjourn the committee.
