- HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES COMMITTEE ON ELECTIONS AND ETHICS REP. JULIE CALLEY CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Wednesday, March 6, 2019 10:30 AM Room 327, House Office Building The House Standing Committee on Elections and Ethics was called to order by Chair Calley. The Clerk read a letter from House Speaker Lee Chatfield which appointed members of the House Elections and Ethics Committee. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Calley, Sheppard, Hornberger, Marino, Paquette, Guerra, Hope. Absent/Excused: None. Representative Sheppard moved to adopt Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in room 327 House Office Building as the normal day, time, and location for meetings of the House Elections and Ethics Committee. The motion prevailed 6-0-0: Yeas: Reps. Calley, Sheppard, Hornberger, Marino, Paquette, Guerra, Hope. Nays: None. Pass: None. Chair Calley stated that the committee would follow the committee rules, as prescribed in Chapter IV of the House Rules The Chair invited Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson, representing the Secretary of State’s Office, to give a presentation. Questions and discussion followed. There being no further business before the committee, the Chair adjourned the meeting at 11:09 AM.
