GARY HOWELL CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Tuesday, March 19, 2019 12:00 PM Room 326, House Office Building The House Standing Committee on Natural Resources and Outdoor Recreation was called to order by Chairman Howell. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Howell, Wakeman, Calley, Reilly, Rendon, Eisen, Sowerby, Cambensy, Pohutsky. Absent/Excused: None. Representative Calley moved to adopt the meeting minutes from March 12, 2019. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid HB 4227 before the committee: HB 4227 (Rep. Cambensy) A bill to create a committee on Michigan's mining future; to provide for the powers and duties of certain governmental officers and agencies; and to repeal acts and parts of acts. Representative Cambensy moved to adopt substitute (H-1) to HB 4227. The motion prevailed 9- 0-0: FAVORABLE ROLL CALL Yeas: Reps. Howell, Wakeman, Calley, Reilly, Rendon, Eisen, Sowerby, Cambensy, Pohutsky. Nays: None. Pass: None. Representative Sara Cambensy testified in support of HB 4227.
