BRIAN BEGOLE CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Thursday, August 21, 2025 9:00 AM Room 307, House Office Building The House Committee on Government Operations was called to order by Chair BeGole. The Chair requested attendance to be called: Present: Reps. BeGole, Harris, VanderWall, Fitzgerald and McFall. Absent: None. Excused: None. Representative Harris moved to adopt the meeting minutes from June 05, 2025. There being no objection, the motion prevailed with unanimous consent. The Chair laid HB 4515 and HB 4746 before the committee: HB 4515 (Rep. Woolford) A bill to amend 1939 PA 280, entitled "The social welfare act," (MCL 400.1 to 400.119b) by adding section 14k. HB 4746 (Rep. Woolford) A bill to amend 1939 PA 280, entitled "The social welfare act," (MCL 400.1 to 400.119b) by adding section 14n. Representative VanderWall moved to adopt substitute (H-2) to HB 4515. The motion prevailed 3-2-0: FAVORABLE ROLL CALL Yeas: Reps. BeGole, Harris and VanderWall. Nays: Reps. Fitzgerald and McFall. Pass: None. Representative Fitzgerald moved to adopt substitute (H-1) to HB 4746. The motion did not prevail 2-3-0: UNFAVORABLE ROLL CALL Yeas: Reps. Fitzgerald and McFall. Nays: Reps. BeGole, Harris and VanderWall. Pass: None. Representative Harris moved to adopt substitute (H-2) to HB 4746. The motion prevailed 3-2-0: FAVORABLE ROLL CALL Yeas: Reps. BeGole, Harris and VanderWall.
