- HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES COMMITTEE ON COMMERCE AND TOURISM REP. STEVE MARINO CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Thursday, April 25, 2019 9:00 AM Room 327, House Office Building The House Standing Committee on Commerce and Tourism was called to order by the Chair, Representative Steve Marino. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Marino, Wendzel, Reilly, Meerman, Schroeder, Wakeman, Cambensy, Camilleri, Manoogian, Robinson. Absent/Excused: Rep. Hope. Representative Wakeman moved to adopt the meeting minutes for March 14, 2019 and April 10, 2019. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid before the committee the presentation on Michigan 2019 Entrepreneurship Score Card. Brian Calley, President of the Small Business Association of Michigan (SBAM), briefed the committee on Michigan’s entrepreneur scorecard with a PowerPoint presentation. Questions followed. Copy of the PowerPoint and handouts are attached. Representative Cambensy moved to excuse Representative Hope from the meeting. There being no objection the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. There being no other business before the committee; Representative Schroeder moved that the Committee adjourn.
