JOSEPH N BELLINO CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Wednesday, May 15, 2019 9:00 AM Room 519, House Office Building The House Standing Committee on Energy was called to order by the Chair Bellino. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Bellino, Wendzel, Alexander, Frederick, Lower, Filler, Mueller, O'Malley, Schroeder, Lasinski, Sneller, T. Carter, Haadsma, Kuppa, Manoogian, Shannon. Absent/Excused: Rep. Markkanen. Representative Manoogian moved to adopt the meeting minutes from April 17, 2019. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. Representative Frederick moved to excuse Representative Markkanen from the meeting. There being no objection the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. Chairman Bellino laid before the committee a presentation by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW). Dean Bradley, representing the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 17, gave a presentation to the committee. Questions and discussion followed. Chairman Bellino laid before the committee a presentation by the Utility Workers Union of America (UWUA). Jonathan Harmon, representing the Utility Workers Union of America (UWUA) Power for America Training Trust Fund, gave a presentation to the committee. Chairman Bellino laid before the committee a presentation by the Michigan Energy Innovation Business Council (MEIBC). Cory Connolly, representing the Michigan Energy Innovation Business Council (MEIBC), and Stuart Irwin, representing Evolution Electric Vehicles, gave a presentation to the committee. Questions and discussion followed. There being no further business before the committee, the Chair adjourned the meeting at 10:26 AM.
