BRANDT IDEN CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Thursday, May 16, 2019 10:30 AM Room 352, House Appropriations, State Capitol Building The House Standing Committee on Ways and Means was called to order by the Chair Iden. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Iden, Lilly, Leutheuser, Griffin, Hauck, Kahle, Wentworth, Warren, Byrd, Neeley, Hertel. Absent/Excused: None. Representative Lilly moved to adopt the meeting minutes from May 14, 2019. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. Representative Warren moved to adopt the meeting minutes from May 15, 2019. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid HB 4069 and HB 4465 before the committee: HB 4069 (Rep. Kahle) A bill to amend 1893 PA 206, entitled “The general property tax act,” by amending sections 27 and 34d (MCL 211.27 and 211.34d), section 27 as amended by 2013 PA 162 and section 34d as amended by 2014 PA 164. HB 4465 (Rep. Rabhi) A bill to amend 1893 PA 206, entitled “The general property tax act, “by amending section 9i (MCL 211.9i), as added by 2002 PA 549. Representative Rabhi and Representative Kahle testified in support of HB 4069 and HB 4465. Questions and discussion followed.
