GRAHAM FILLER CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Tuesday, May 21, 2019 9:00 AM Room 519, House Office Building The House Standing Committee on Judiciary was called to order by the Chair Filler. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Filler, LaFave, Farrington, Howell, S. Johnson, Rendon, Berman, Wozniak, LaGrand, Guerra, Elder, Bolden. Absent/Excused: Rep. Yancey. Representative LaFave moved to adopt the meeting minutes from May 14, 2019. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. Representative LaFave moved to excuse Representative Yancey from the meeting. There being no objection the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid HB 4108 before the committee: HB 4108 (Rep. Hauck) A bill to amend 1975 PA 238, entitled “Child protection law,” by amending section 3 (MCL 722.623), as amended by 2016 PA 35. Representative Hauck testified in support of HB 4108. Questions and discussion followed. Michael Shoemaker, President of the Michigan Physical Therapy Association, testified in support of HB 4108. LaFave) A bill to amend 1994 PA 451, entitled “Natural resources and environmental protection act,” by amending section 40111 (MCL 324.40111), as amended by 2018 PA 272.
