HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES COMMITTEE ON INSURANCE REP. MIKE HARRIS CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Wednesday, September 3, 2025 Noon. Room 521, House Office Building The House Committee on Insurance was called to order by Chair Harris. The Chair requested attendance to be called: Present: Reps. Harris, Tisdel, Lightner, Posthumus, Aragona, Neyer, Schuette, Brenda Carter, Tate and Fitzgerald. Absent: Rep. Whitsett. Excused: Rep. Whitsett. Representative Brenda Carter moved to adopt the meeting minutes from August 20, 2025. There being no objection, the motion prevailed with unanimous consent. The Chair laid HB 4713, HB 4714, HB 4715, HB 4716, HB 4717, HB 4718 and HB 4719 before the committee: HB 4713 (Rep. Brenda Carter) A bill to amend 1956 PA 218, entitled "The insurance code of 1956," by amending section 4509 (MCL 500.4509), as added by 1995 PA 276. HB 4716 (Rep. McFall) A bill to amend 1956 PA 218, entitled "The insurance code of 1956," by amending section 4511 (MCL 500.4511), as added by 1995 PA 276. HB 4717 (Rep.
