GRAHAM FILLER CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Tuesday, June 18, 2019 9:00 AM Room 519, House Office Building The House Standing Committee on Judiciary was called to order by the Chair Filler. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Filler, LaFave, Farrington, Howell, Steven Johnson, Rendon, Berman, Wozniak, LaGrand, Guerra, Elder, Yancey, Bolden. Absent/Excused: None. Representative LaFave moved to adopt the meeting minutes from June 11, 2019. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. Chairman Filler laid before the committee a presentation by the Michigan Cannabis Industry Association. Robin Schneider, representing the Michigan Cannabis Industry Association, gave a presentation to the committee. Chairman Filler laid before the committee a presentation by the Marijuana Regulatory Agency. Andrew Brisbo, representing the Marijuana Regulatory Agency, gave a presentation to the committee. Questions and discussion followed. The Chair laid HB 4126 and HB 4127 before the committee: HB 4126 (Rep. Albert) A bill to amend 2018 IL 1, entitled “Michigan regulation and taxation of marihuana act,” by amending section 8 (MCL 333.27958). HB 4127 (Rep. Rendon) A bill to amend 2016 PA 281, entitled “Medical marihuana facilities licensing act,” by amending section 206 (MCL 333.27206), as amended by 2018 PA 10. Representative Albert and Representative Rendon testified in support of HB 4126 and HB 4127. Questions and discussion followed.
