JACK O'MALLEY CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Tuesday, June 18, 2019 10:30 AM Room 327, House Office Building The House Standing Committee on Transportation was called to order by the Chair O'Malley. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. O'Malley, Eisen, Cole, Sheppard, Alexander, Bellino, Howell, Afendoulis, Sneller, Clemente, Yancey, Haadsma, Shannon. Absent/Excused: None. Representative Sheppard moved to adopt the meeting minutes from June 11, 2019. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid HB 4081 before the committee: HB 4081 (Rep. Kennedy) A bill to amend 2001 PA 142, entitled “Michigan memorial highway act,"(MCL 250.1001 to 250.2080) by adding section 25a. Representative Kennedy, joined by Clio Area Fire Chief Kerry Paulson, testified in support of HB 4081. Representative Sneller offered the following amendment to HB 4081: 1. Amend page 1, line 2, after "at" by striking out "3400" and inserting "3291". Representative Kennedy spoke to the amendment Representative Sneller moved to adopt the amendment to HB 4081. The motion prevailed 13-0- 0: FAVORABLE ROLL CALL Yeas: Reps. O'Malley, Eisen, Cole, Sheppard, Alexander, Bellino, Howell, Afendoulis, Sneller, Clemente, Yancey, Haadsma, Shannon. Nays: None. Craig Brunet and Nicole Toman, the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, testified with no position on HB 4463. The Chair laid HB 4628 before the committee: HB 4628 (Rep.
