- HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES COMMITTEE ON ENERGY REP. JOSEPH N BELLINO CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Wednesday, December 4, 2019 9:00 AM Room 519, House Office Building The House Standing Committee on Energy was called to order by Chair Bellino. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Bellino, Wendzel, Alexander, Frederick, Lower, Filler, Markkanen, Mueller, O'Malley, Schroeder, Lasinski, Tyrone Carter, Haadsma, Kuppa, Manoogian, Shannon. Absent/Excused: Rep. Sneller. Representative Manoogian moved to adopt the meeting minutes from October 23, 2019. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. Chairman Bellino laid before the committee a presentation hosted by Representative Markkanen on Energy Efficiency with David Gard, representing the Michigan Energy Efficiency Contractors Association (MEECA); Alex Van Rijn, representing Building Performance Solutions Inc.; Shelley Sullivan, representing Energy Sciences; Mary Templeton, representing Michigan Saves; and Bali Kumar, representing the Lean & Green Michigan PACE Program. Questions and discussion followed. Chairman Bellino laid before the committee a presentation by Rami Haddad, Ron Stimec and Joe Boetsch, all representing Johnson Controls. Questions and discussion followed. Representative Tyrone Carter moved to excuse Representative Sneller from the meeting. There being no objection the motion prevailed by unanimous consent.
