- HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES COMMITTEE ON ECONOMIC COMPETITIVENESS REP. MIKE HOADLEY CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Thursday, September 18, 2025 10:30 AM Room 521, House Office Building The House Committee on Economic Competitiveness was called to order by Chair Hoadley. The Chair requested attendance to be called: Present: Reps. Hoadley, Bohnak, Outman, Harris, BeGole, DeBoyer, St. Germaine, Grant, Brixie and Tate. Absent: Rep. Coffia. Excused: Rep. Coffia. Representative Harris moved to adopt the meeting minutes from September 04, 2025. There being no objection, the motion prevailed with unanimous consent. The Chair laid the presentation on a Report from the Small Business Association of Michigan on Michigan’s Small Business Climate before the committee. Brian Calley, CEO, representing the Small Business Association of Michigan, provided a presentation on a Report from the Small Business Association of Michigan on Michigan’s Small Business Climate. Questions and discussions followed. Representative Outman moved to excuse Representative Coffia from the meeting. There being no objection the motion prevailed by unanimous consent.
