HANK VAUPEL CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Thursday, January 9, 2020 10:30 AM Room 352, House Appropriations, State Capitol Building The House Standing Committee on Health Policy was meeting jointly with the Subcommittee on Health and Human Services. The House Standing Committee on Health Policy was called to order by Chair Vaupel. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Vaupel, Frederick, Alexander, Calley, Hornberger, Lower, Whiteford, Afendoulis, Filler, Mueller, Wozniak, Liberati, Garrett, Ellison, Koleszar, Pohutsky, Stone, Witwer. Absent/Excused: Rep. Clemente. The Subcommittee on Health and Human Services was called to order by Representative Whiteford. Chairwoman Whiteford handed the gavel back to Chairman Vaupel. Representative Liberati moved to excuse Representative Clemente from the meeting. There being no objection the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid a presentation on Human Trafficking in the state of Michigan before the committees. Ruth Rondon, representing Human Trafficking Survivor, spoke to the committee. Questions and discussions followed. Kelly Carter, representing Michigan Human Trafficking Commission, spoke to the committee. Questions and discussions followed. Todd Reineck and Sue Lucas, representing FBI Special Agent, spoke to the committee. Questions and discussions followed. Representative Whiteford adjourned the Subcommittee on Health and Human Services at 11:57 A.M. There being no further business before the committee, Rep.
