- HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES COMMITTEE ON OVERSIGHT REP. MATT HALL CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Wednesday, February 5, 2020 8:30 AM Senate Appropriations, State Capitol Building The House Standing Committee on Oversight was meeting jointly with the Senate Oversight Committee. The Senate Oversight Committee was called to order by Senator McBroom. The House Standing Committee on Oversight was called to order by Chair Hall. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Hall, Reilly, Webber, Steven Johnson, Cynthia Johnson, Camilleri, LaGrand. Absent/Excused: Reps. LaFave, Schroeder. The Chair laid before the committee the following: Office of the Auditor General Performance Audit Report: Bureau of Elections - December 2019 #231-0235-19 Mary Lowe and Jordan Schafer, representing the Office of the Auditor General, testified regarding the audit report. Questions and discussion followed. Johnathan Brater, the Director of the Bureau of Elections, testified regarding the audit report. Questions and discussion followed. Andrew Mason and Bree Anderson, representing Michigan Department of Technology Management and Budget, testified regarding the audit report. The following people submitted a card, but due to the time constraints were unable to speak: Mary Clark and Joe Roebuck, representing the Council of Election Officials and the Michigan Association of Municipal Clerks Representative Reilly moved to excuse Representatives LaFave and Schroeder from the meeting. There being no objection the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. There being no further business before the committee, Rep. Matt Hall adjourned the meeting at 9:54 AM.
