- HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES COMMITTEE ON TRANSPORTATION REP. JACK O'MALLEY CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Tuesday, February 11, 2020 10:30 AM Room 327, House Office Building The House Standing Committee on Transportation was called to order by Chair O'Malley. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. O'Malley, Eisen, Cole, Alexander, Bellino, Howell, Afendoulis, Sneller, Clemente, Yancey, Haadsma, Shannon. Absent/Excused: Rep. Sheppard. Representative Cole moved to adopt the meeting minutes from February 4, 2020. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. James Hohman, representing the Mackinac Center for Public Policy, provided a presentation on Road Bonding. Questions and discussion followed. Brad Williams, representing the Detroit Regional Chamber, provided a presentation in support of Governor Whitmer's proposed plan for Road Bonding. Questions and discussion followed. At 11:02 AM, Chair O'Malley laid the committee at ease. At 11:03 AM, Chair O'Malley called the committee back to order. Craig Thiel, representing the Citizens Research Council, provided a presentation on Principles of a Comprehensive Road Funding Plan in Michigan. Representative Howell moved to excuse Representative Sheppard from the meeting. There being no objection the motion prevailed by unanimous consent.
