MATT HALL CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Thursday, February 20, 2020 10:30 AM Room 326, House Office Building The House Standing Committee on Oversight was called to order by Chair Hall. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Hall, Reilly, Webber, Steven Johnson, LaFave, Schroeder, Camilleri, LaGrand. Absent/Excused: Rep. Cynthia Johnson. Representative Reilly moved to adopt the meeting minutes from February 6, 2020. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid HB 5426 and HB 5427 before the committee: HB 5426 (Rep. Hall) A bill to amend 2017 PA 132, entitled "Cyber civilian corps act," by amending sections 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 (MCL 18.222, 18.223, 18.224, 18.225, 18.226, and 18.227). HB 5427 (Rep. VanWoerkom) A bill to amend 2017 PA 132, entitled "Cyber civilian corps act," by amending sections 9 and 10 (MCL 18.229 and 18.230). Chair Hall spoke to the proposed substitute (H-1) to HB 5426. Representative Webber moved to adopt substitute (H-1) to HB 5426. The motion prevailed 8-0-0: FAVORABLE ROLL CALL Yeas: Reps. Hall, Reilly, Webber, Steven Johnson, LaFave, Schroeder, Camilleri, LaGrand. Nays: None. Pass: None. Representative Steven Johnson moved to refer House Bill No. 5426 to the committee on Ways and Means, with recommendation as substitute (H-1). The Chair laid before the committee the following: Office of the Auditor General Report on the Food and Dairy Division, Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, January 2020 #791-0200-12F Melissa Schuiling and Joel McComb, representing the Office of the Auditor General, testified regarding the Audit report. Questions and discussion followed. Representative LaFave moved to excuse Representative Cynthia Johnson from the meeting. There being no objection the motion prevailed by unanimous consent.
