- HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES COMMITTEE ON ENERGY REP. JOSEPH N BELLINO CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Wednesday, February 26, 2020 9:00 AM Room 519, House Office Building The House Standing Committee on Energy was called to order by Chair Bellino. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Bellino, Wendzel, Alexander, Frederick, Lower, Filler, Markkanen, Mueller, O'Malley, Schroeder, Lasinski, Sneller, Tyrone Carter, Kuppa, Manoogian. Absent/Excused: Reps. Haadsma, Shannon. Representative Tyrone Carter moved to adopt the meeting minutes from February 19, 2020. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. Chairman Bellino laid before the committee a presentation from Michigan Biomass. Gary Melow, Director, Michigan Biomass; Thomas Vine, Manager, Viking Energy of McBain; Edward Going, Manager, Grayling Generating Station; and Aaron Hess, Manager, Mid-Michigan Recycling gave a presentation to the committee. Questions and discussion followed. Representative Markkanen moved to excuse Representatives Haadsma and Shannon from the meeting. There being no objection the motion prevailed by unanimous consent.
