SHANE HERNANDEZ CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Wednesday, May 6, 2020 9:00 AM Room 352, House Appropriations, State Capitol Building The House Standing Committee on Appropriations was called to order by Chair Hernandez. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Hernandez, Miller, Sheppard, Albert, Allor, Brann, VanSingel, Whiteford, Yaroch, Bollin, Glenn, Green, Huizenga, Lightner, Maddock, Slagh, VanWoerkom, Hoadley, Love, Hammoud, Peterson, Sabo, Anthony, Brixie, Cherry, Hood, Kennedy, Tate. Absent/Excused: Rep. Pagan. Representative VanWoerkom moved to adopt the meeting minutes from February 26, 2020. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid Legislative Transfer Request 2020-1, Legislative Transfer Request 2020-3, and Legislative Transfer Request 2020-4 before the committee. Dean Hall, representing Michigan Sportsmans Conference Against Hunger, testified in support of the Legislative Transfer Request 2020-1. At 9:13 AM, the Chair laid the committee at ease. At 9:21 AM, the Chair called the committee back to order. Representative Bollin moved to remove page 15 from the Legislative Transfer Request Package containing Legislative Transfers 2020-1, 2020-3, and 2020-4. The motion prevailed 28-0-0: FAVORABLE ROLL CALL Yeas: Reps. Hernandez, Miller, Sheppard, Albert, Allor, Brann, VanSingel, Whiteford, Yaroch, Bollin, Glenn, Green, Huizenga, Lightner, Maddock, Slagh, VanWoerkom, Hoadley, Love, Hammoud, Peterson, Sabo, Anthony, Brixie, Cherry, Hood, Kennedy, Tate. Nays: None. Pass: None. Representative Sheppard moved to approve the Legislative Transfer Request package, containing Legislative Transfer Requests 2020-1, 2020-3, and 2020-4, as amended. The motion prevailed 28-0-0: FAVORABLE ROLL CALL Yeas: Reps. Hernandez, Miller, Sheppard, Albert, Allor, Brann, VanSingel, Whiteford, Yaroch, Bollin, Glenn, Green, Huizenga, Lightner, Maddock, Slagh, VanWoerkom, Hoadley, Love, Hammoud, Peterson, Sabo, Anthony, Brixie, Cherry, Hood, Kennedy, Tate. Nays: None. Pass: None. Representative Hoadley moved to excuse Representative Pagan from the meeting. There being no objection the motion prevailed by unanimous consent.
