SHANE HERNANDEZ CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Tuesday, May 19, 2020 8:30 AM Room 352, House Appropriations, State Capitol Building The House Standing Committee on Appropriations was called to order by Chair Hernandez. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Hernandez, Miller, Sheppard, Albert, Allor, Brann, VanSingel, Whiteford, Yaroch, Bollin, Glenn, Green, Huizenga, Lightner, Maddock, Slagh, VanWoerkom, Hoadley, Love, Peterson, Sabo, Anthony, Brixie, Cherry, Hood, Kennedy, Tate. Absent/Excused: Reps. Pagan, Hammoud. Representative Albert moved to adopt the meeting minutes from May 13, 2020. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. Karen Gyger, representing the Michigan Department of Insurance and Financial Services, gave a presentation on remote workforce capabilities in the department. Questions and discussion followed. Director Dan Eichinger, representing the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, gave a presentation on remote workforce participation in the Department. Questions and discussion followed. Director Liesl Clark, representing the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy, gave a presentation on remote workforce capabilities in the department. Questions and discussion followed. Christina Grossi, Chief of Operations at the Michigan Department of Attorney General, gave a presentation on remote workforce participation at the Michigan Attorney General's office. Questions and discussion followed. Representative Hoadley moved to excuse Representatives Hammoud and Pagan from the meeting. There being no objection the motion prevailed by unanimous consent.
