The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Iden, Lilly, Leutheuser, Griffin, Hauck, Kahle, Meerman, Warren, Byrd, Hertel, Bolden. Absent: None. Excused: None. Representative Lilly moved to adopt the meeting minutes from June 3, 2020. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid HB 5126, HB 5060 and HB 5504 before the committee: HB 5126 (Rep. Johnson) A bill to amend 1956 PA 40, entitled "The drain code of 1956," by amending sections 135 and 154 (MCL 280.135 and 280.154), section 135 as amended by 2017 PA 62 and section 154 as amended by 2018 PA 646. HB 5060 (Rep. Garza) A bill to amend 1956 PA 40, entitled "The drain code of 1956," by amending section 196 (MCL 280.196), as amended by 2008 PA 509. HB 5504 (Rep. Lower) A bill to amend 1956 PA 40, entitled "The drain code of 1956," by amending sections 196 and 434 (MCL 280.196 and 280.434), section 196 as amended by 2008 PA 509 and section 434 as amended by 2002 PA 406. VanSingel) A bill to amend 1994 PA 451, entitled "Natural resources and environmental protection act," (MCL 324.101 to 324.90106) by adding section 5519b. HB 5049 (Rep. Sowerby) A bill to prohibit certain public entities from entering into certain contracts with certain entities that remove or abate asbestos; to require certain entities to disclose certain information when bidding on certain contracts with public entities; and to impose certain duties and responsibilities on certain public entities. HB 5050 (Rep. Howell) A bill to prohibit certain public entities from entering into certain contracts with certain entities that remove or abate asbestos; to require certain entities to disclose certain information when bidding on certain contracts with public entities; and to impose certain duties and responsibilities on certain public entities. Substitute (H-2) was previously adopted to HB 5047 on June 3, 2020. Substitute (H-1) was previously adopted to HB 5049 on June 3, 2020.
