JACK O'MALLEY CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Tuesday, June 23, 2020 Room 519, House Office Building The House Committee on Transportation was called to order by Chair O'Malley. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. O'Malley, Eisen, Cole, Sheppard, Alexander, Bellino, Howell, Afendoulis, Sneller, Clemente, Yancey, Haadsma, Shannon. Absent: None. Excused: None. The Chair laid SB 132 before the committee: SB 132 (Sen. Zorn) A bill to amend 2001 PA 142, entitled "Michigan memorial highway act," by amending sections 12 and 48 (MCL 250.1012 and 250.1048), and by adding section 1085. Shane Preston, representing Senator Zorn's Office, testified in support of SB 132. The following people submitted a card with a neutral position on SB 132, but did not wish to speak: Troy Hagon, representing the Michigan Department of Transportation. Representative Cole moved to refer Senate Bill No. 132 to the Committee on Ways and Means. The motion prevailed 12-1-0: FAVORABLE ROLL CALL Yeas: Reps.
