The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Webber, Berman, Crawford, Farrington, Frederick, Hoitenga, Filler, Hall, Wendzel, Chirkun, Liberati, Cambensy, Jones, Garza, Cynthia Neeley. Absent: None. Excused: None. The Chair laid HB 5902 before the committee: HB 5902 (Rep. Chirkun) A bill to amend 1972 PA 382, entitled "Traxler- McCauley-Law-Bowman bingo act," by amending section 3 (MCL 432.103), as amended by 2019 PA 159. Representative Chirkun testified in support of HB 5902. The following people submitted a card in support of HB 5902, but did not wish to speak: Mike Gallagher, representing the Michigan Lottery Commission. Representative Crawford and Representative Cambseny testified in support of HB 5907, HB 5908 and HB 5909. Kevin Brinkman, representing the National Elevator Industrty, testified in support of HB 5907, HB 5908 and HB 5909. Mike Halpin, representing the Elevator Industry Work Prevention Fund, testified in opposition to HB 5907, HB 5908 and HB 5909. The Chair laid HB 5428 before the committee: HB 5428 (Rep. Hall) A bill to amend 1998 PA 58, entitled "Michigan liquor control code of 1998," (MCL 436.1101 to 436.2303) by adding section 910. Representative Hall testified in support of HB 5428. Questions and discussion followed. Juan Escareno, representing the Midwest Independent Retailers Association, testified in support of HB 5428. The following people submitted a card in support of HB 5428, but did not wish to speak: Scott Ellis and Mason Doerr, representing the Michigan Licensed Beverage Association..
