JACK O'MALLEY CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Thursday, September 10, 2020 9:45 AM Room 519, House Office Building The House Committee on Transportation was called to order by Chair O'Malley. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. O'Malley, Eisen, Cole, Sheppard, Alexander, Bellino, Howell, Afendoulis, Sneller, Clemente, Yancey, Haadsma, Shannon. Absent: None. Excused: None. Representative Sheppard moved to adopt the meeting minutes from September 1, 2020. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid HB 5204 and HB 5205 before the committee: HB 5204 (Rep. Steven Johnson) A bill to amend 1949 PA 300, entitled "Michigan vehicle code," by amending section 226 (MCL 257.226), as amended by 2018 PA 342. HB 5205 (Rep. Eisen) A bill to amend 1949 PA 300, entitled "Michigan vehicle code," by amending section 805 (MCL 257.805), as amended by 2013 PA 82. Substitute (H-1) to HB 5204 was previously adopted on September 1st, 2020. Representative Bellino moved to adopt substitute (H-2) to HB 5204. The motion prevailed 13-0-0: FAVORABLE ROLL CALL Yeas: Reps. O'Malley, Eisen, Cole, Sheppard, Alexander, Bellino, Howell, Afendoulis, Sneller, Clemente, Yancey, Haadsma, Shannon. Nays: None. O'Malley) A bill to amend 1949 PA 300, entitled "Michigan vehicle code," by amending sections 306 and 321c (MCL 257.306 and 257.321c), as amended by 2020 PA 127. Chair O'Malley testified in support of HB 6192. Representative Sheppard moved to refer House Bill No. 6192 to the Committee on Ways and Means.
