- HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES COMMITTEE ON GOVERNMENT OPERATIONS REP. JASON M SHEPPARD CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Thursday, September 24, 2020 8:30 AM Room 308, House Office Building The House Committee on Government Operations was called to order by Chair Sheppard. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Sheppard, Cole, Lilly, Greig, Rabhi. Absent: None. Excused: None. Representative Cole moved to adopt the meeting minutes from September 16, 2020. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid HB 6233 before the committee: HB 6233 (Rep. Sheppard) A bill to amend 1981 PA 118, entitled "Motor vehicle franchise act," by amending sections 6, 14, 17, and 17a (MCL 445.1566, 445.1574, 445.1577, and 445.1577a), sections 6, 14, and 17 as amended by 2018 PA 668 and section 17a as added by 2018 PA 668, and by adding sections 17c and 17d. Representative Cole moved to adopt substitute (H-2) to HB 6233. The motion prevailed 5-0- 0: FAVORABLE ROLL CALL Yeas: Reps. Sheppard, Cole, Lilly, Greig, Rabhi. Nays: None. Pass: None.
