BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-3760 FAX: (517) 373-8661 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES February 19, 2019 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Environmental Quality was scheduled for Tuesday, February 19, 2019, at 1:00 p.m., in the 1200 Room of the Binsfeld Office Building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Adopted the Committee Rules. 2. Presentation by the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality regarding the Department. The Chair called the meeting to order at 1:01 p.m. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Outman, Sen.(s) Daley, Johnson, VanderWall, McBroom, Bayer, and Brinks, a quorum was present. The Chairman entertained a motion by Sen. Daley to adopt the committee rules. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Outman, Sen.(s) Daley, Johnson, VanderWall, McBroom, Bayer, and Brinks Nays: None The motion prevailed and the rules were adopted. The Chair invited Liesl Clark, Director of the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality, and Aaron Keatly, Chief Deputy Director of the DEQ, to give a presentation providing an overview of the Department. There being no further business before the committee, the Chair moved to adjourn the committee.
