The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Reported SB 29 (Sen. Lucido) with recommendation and immediate effect. 2. Reported SB 30 (Sen. Lucido) with recommendation and immediate effect. 3. Reported SB 81 (Sen Lucido) with recommendation and immediate effect. 4. Reported SB 112 (S-3) (Sen. Lucido) with recommendation and immediate effect. 5. Testimony regarding SB 84, SB 90 - SB102 the “Raise The Age” package. The Chairman called the meeting to order at 8:32 a.m. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chairman Lucido, Sen.(s) VanderWall, Barrett, Johnson, Runestad, Chang, and Irwin, a quorum was present. The Chairman entertained a motion by Sen. VanderWall to adopt the meeting minutes from February 28, 2019. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chairman summarized SB 29 and SB 30. The Chairman entertained a motion by Sen. Barrett to report SB 29 to the floor with recommendation that it pass. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chairman Lucido, Sen.(s) VanderWall, Barrett, Johnson, Runestad, Chang, and Irwin Nays: None The motion prevailed and the bill was reported. The Chairman moved to recommend immediate effect for SB 29. Without objection, immediate effect was recommended. The Chairman entertained a motion by Sen. Barrett to report SB 30 to the floor with recommendation that it pass. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chairman Lucido, Sen.(s) VanderWall, Barrett, Johnson, Runestad, Chang, and Irwin Nays: None The motion prevailed and the bill was reported. The Chairman moved to recommend immediate effect for SB 30. Without objection, immediate effect was recommended. Page 1 of 3 The Chairman summarized SB 81. The cards were read of those individuals not wishing to testify before the committee regarding SB 81: Michigan State Police – Support The Chairman entertained a motion by Sen. VanderWall to report SB 81 to the floor with recommendation that it pass. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chairman Lucido, Sen.(s) VanderWall, Barrett, Johnson, Runestad, Chang, and Irwin Nays: None The motion prevailed and the bill was reported. The Chairman moved to recommend immediate effect for SB 81. Without objection, immediate effect was recommended. The Chairman offered, and summarized, an (S-3) version of SB 112. The Chairman entertained a motion by Sen. Runestad to adopt the (S-3) version of SB 112. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chairman Lucido, Sen.(s) VanderWall, Barrett, Johnson, Runestad, Chang, and Irwin Nays: None The motion prevailed and the (S-3) was adopted. The Chairman entertained a motion by Sen. VanderWall to report SB 112 (S-3) to the floor with recommendation that it pass. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chairman Lucido, Sen.(s) VanderWall, Barrett, Johnson, Runestad, Chang, and Irwin Nays: None The motion prevailed and the bill was reported. The Chairman moved to recommend immediate effect for SB 112 (S-3). Without objection, immediate effect was recommended. At 8:41 a.m., the Chairman called the committee at-ease. At 8:42 a.m., the Vice Chairman reconvened the committee. The Chairman and Sen. Santana summarized SB 84, SB 90 – SB 102, the Raise The Age package. At 9:03 a.m., the Vice Chair called the committee at-ease. At 9:04 a.m., the Chairman reconvened the committee.
