Gast Senate Appropriations Room of the Capitol Building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Testimony regarding HB 4244 (Rep. Green). 2. Testimony regarding HB 4286 (Rep. Johnson). The Chairman called the meeting to order at 2:00 p.m. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present; Chairman Stamas, Sen.(s) Bumstead, MacGregor, Barrett, Bizon, LaSata, MacDonald, Nesbitt, Outman, Victory, Hertel, Hollier, Irwin, Santana, and McCann, a quorum was present. The Chairman entertained a motion by Sen. Hertel, to excuse absent members from the committee meeting. Without objection, Sen.(s) Schmidt, Runestad, and Bayer were excused. The Chairman entertained a motion by Sen. MacGregor, supported by Sen. Barrett, to adopt the committee meeting minutes from March 5, 2019 and March 13, 2019. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. Next, the Chairman invited Rep. Johnson, Jon Mieczkowski of Rep. Johnson's Office, Richard Phillips an exoneree, and his attorney, Sarah Krause, to summarize HB 4286. The Chairman read the cards of those individuals not wishing to testify regarding HB 4286: David Knezek – Attorney General Dana Nessel's Office – Support Next, the Chairman invited Rep. Green to summarize HB 4244. The Chairman invited Dan Lord, Grants Management Section Manager and Sharon Schafer, Chief of the Financial Operations Divisions of the Department of Natural Resources, to provide an overview of the Natural Resources Trust Fund. There being no further business before the committee, the Chairman entertained a motion by Sen. Bumstead, supported by Sen. LaSata, to adjourn the meeting at 2:35 p.m. Without objection, the committee was adjourned. Date Adopted by Committee: 4-10-19
